My laptop uses a 40pin lvds cable to connect the screen to the motherboard, and predictably (as it runs through a hinge) it's fucked - started to fail almost a year ago and it's finally given up the ghost.<br /> <br /> Can't find a spare for that model online and Pc Specialist are being less than helpful so far. Are there any common standards for these buggers? I did this (by email) and heard nothing back. Couple months later I emailed again saying... so are you sending the cable?
