Right but what you're doing here is avoiding using the simple timer function of your heating by some overcomplicated kludge phone thing involving two apps but at the root of it is your phone's clock, ie a simple timer... I say you pretty much are asking for a cold house!

Possibly a better idea
Create a PHP file that has a PHP exec command in it to run a script that turns on the heating.
Tasker can run file/http open commands, point at that address.
You may even have the possibility to do that already with your web interface and tasker.
Just checked, it's the HTTP Get task.

So if you have something like this
http://ipaddress/homeautomation.php?command=turnonheating
You could use tasker to "open" that address.

Does that work with the screen off? If so that would definitely work.
My web server does that yeah, so
http://ip.net/boiler/index.html?param=heatingon
(or heatingon90 for 1.5hrs of heating (or heatingon13 if you're feeling unlucky))

Yeah, screen off is fine. All in the background, you just need to set the trigger.

I've got home screen widgets to run some tasker tasks. One being an "All Off" task that turns off all of my remotely controllable lights. Saves me delving into the webui

I looked for tasker in play store and there's lots of apps with same name. Which one is the real one?
