Have you seen a beta for it?
Looks too merkin. Except for the eco-freako wind turbines, that is, they should be belching out CO2 emissions.
It's Paradox and it's going to have the Crusader Kings/Europa Universalis model of DLC. Which basically means: Lots of stuff for free, lot of super cheap completely cosmetic stuff and several expansion-size DLCs at decent (~$15) prices.
(And when they add a big expansion for CK/EU they put any mechanical stuff that isn't specific to the expansion back into the base game, so everyone gets it).
Paradox tend to DLC *right*.
Deluxe version's not really worth getting. It just has 5 monuments (Eiffel Tower and stuff) and the soundtrack.
I've watched about 50 hours of people playing press released betas on Twitch while working this week and it looks superb.
It's made by Finns and published by Swedes. They've done the architecture American as a default but it's totally mod-able and people are *sure* to do other styles of buildings.
Other than that it's got a very European feel (roundabouts!).
I haven't been paying attention but apparently it's out NOW and very good. Hm! I don't think I'll jump straight in, but it's on my watch list.
What's the deal with buying games on Steam through Russia?
dodgy. I think Cdkeys are doing this cheap enough for me to not bother with borderline-illegal codes that might get deactivated any moment that Valve or Paradox wish it.
