I was shocked to discover my new installation of xp sp3 did not have ie8 (it still had the default ie6). OK I forgot ie8 is a manual install. Then I went to MS to download it, and they said it is not compatible with xp 32-bit. FUCKING LIARS! I've installed ie8 on xp at least a dozen times.
Luckily I had an ie8 installer archived, so I'm installing it now. Microsoft and Apple are LIARS! I hate you all.
That was posted from Chrome, which I also hate.
How old is this computer?
Why are you still using XP?
Because he's old skool and he HATES NEW STUFF!
3 reasons: too cheap to upgrade, games and our main client at work requires our stuff to run on it.
It has an agp graphics card.
Have you tried upping the AGP voltage to 2gb tbh?
Glad you mentioned that. Another reason to not upgrade: ram is maxed out @ 2G. I'll probably be buying a new barebones kit in another year or two, and get Win7 oem/jim*.

What's the cpu?
Win 7 runs fine on 2GB and a relatively slow (by today's standards) Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo) mobile cpu.
