Fucking imperial.
Currently arranging to buy some stuff at work from a Canadian supplier and they sell in 50 lb bags rather than the universal 25 kg bag. Idiots.
I thought Canada was fairly metric, but I guess their biggest market is the USA. Fucking USAians.
50 lbs is easier to lift. Yeah we're weak, and lazy.
For the most part are you Metric in Canada?
I've been trying to source a decent, accurate torque wrench for a bike, and most of the US variants only give torques in ft.lb whereas all bike parts here specify torques in Nm (the way it should be). Fortunately, the Italians do do metric.
My Halfords Pro ones do both and they're lovely.
I had to buy one in an emergency and it's marked in kg.f and inch pounds. Fucking annoying.
Unfortunately, the Halfords ones that I've seen start a little on the high side.
Mostly but not exclusively. For example at the supermarket they give price per pound as well as per kilo for meat.
Aww, you poor foreigners!
Eventually you will come around to our way! :)
It took me about 5 years to learn to think in kilometers and centigrade, but I still hate centimeters. Millimeters are cool though. I also like 500 milliliter cans.
