Been messing around with Xbian on my Raspberry Pi and spent hours over the last week trying to work out why my USB hard drive had stopped being recognised.
Was working fine, took it out and connected it to laptop and loaded up a bunch of content, and when I put it back in the raspy it wouldn't show up. Not even in lsusb.
Questions days of messing and formatting and different file systems... No joy.

Maybe you could ask
this guy
for help next time. He'll advise you on Linux matters even if you're having trouble with, say, your washing machine.
