Use of terms like mad or mental in throwaway comments about (normal or eccentric) behaviour.<br /> <br /> "That party last night was mad"<br /> <br /> "I went mental when I found out"<br /> <br /> "it's bedlam in there"<br /> <br /> Edit to fix the line breaks that disappeared when I posted from Android chrome but reappeared when I clicked edit in lite mode. But that's a relic of the old usage.
