I had just signed up for the free version this week and was surprised when I got an email earlier today (1/21/14) that effective (1/21/14) the free account is no more. You have 7 days to purchase a pro subscription or tough shit.
The blog post announcing this is being destroyed by angry users.
I realize that providing a free product like they did has to cost some money and I'm not upset with the decision to drop the free option, what I am pissed about is the blatant disrespect for their users by giving them a one day heads up. And also last March they stated in an
email "LogMeIn Free is and will remain free"
This almost seems like they are taking advice from Verizon Wireless. The options went from a free account with 10 computers to a $30/year account with 2 computers.
