My first car, a Peugeot 205 I bought for ~£100 off ebay, had a very leaky sunroof. It would also collect in the sunroof lips/ridges so when you went round a corner any that was left up there would pour out onto the driver or passenger!
After many attempts at taping it shut I got the putty gun out and sealed it fully.

My mother's cousin had a Focus and that used to leak eater into the book. The boot leaking definitely seems to be an issue on Fords.
There were actually two leaks. One was around the light cluster, easily fixed with a load of silicone. The other was water getting under the rubber seal around the boot, between the two panels of the car (outer skin and panel inside the boot) due to a gap in places between the two where they join under the seal, then running down into the back of the boot. Hopefully that makes sense. Took the seal off, put a load of silicone on it, put it back on and now waiting for it to dry. See what happens tomorrow.
If it still leaks in the morning I will cry. The floor of the boot has been in our attic for ages. It got so wet it started falling apart and held loads of water so steamed up the back window all the time. Will be nice to get it all back together properly.

I did drill 4 or 5 holes in the spare wheel space which helped a bit. When we were running the hosepipe earlier there was loads of water running straight into the boot. It also drips onto anything on the left side of then boot.

Yes. And a "hood" is really called a bonnet. And "tires" are really tyres. And "windshield" is really called a peepscreen.
