IMO, the problem with the search is that it gives the results in the left-hand frame. This might make perfect sense in a fully-framed window. But if I want to search but keep my current position, I cannot just open a page link in a new tab/window, because if I search the results aren't displayed.

Wow, you're mean and nasty, and here I am agreeing with you. I don't like that they are in the left frame. It seems cramped.
Matt, more info might be useful, or somehow combining results from the same thread? If I search for something and it's in the same thread multiple times it might take up the whole first page of results.

There is already a group by thread option on the search form for that
:)
You can drag the left frame to make it wider too, like. Beehive will even remember where you drag it to as well.

Oh OK, so it's just that I don't know how to properly use it. Story of my life, and once again ignore the stupid American. I should put that in my signature.

great. Maybe I should just go live in the woods.
My server is offline and I can't figure out what the fuck is causing it. It will start up and run for a random amount of time and then just lock up.

No, I haven't tried much other than cussing at it at this point. It's a VM and the hypervisor is running fine. And so does the server until it doesn't. Nothing special in the event viewer either. So I'm thinking of just converting it to a physical machine and seeing if that might help.

not for me it doesn't, every time I get back to the main layout the 'go' button is under the drop-down-box

Reminds me of a strange problem we've got with an aging server at work - the things works fine for weeks, then will go into a bizarre hibernate state, where the server's powered up, but the disks go offline - only thing that brings it back online is taking the power lead out of the PSU, plugging it back and firing it up again.
