Probably the proximity, but in these parts (especially Pittsburgh) people talk in a very distinctive way. They say Yins and yous guys and shit like that. That's probably where I've gotten it because that's where I went to college and spend a bit of time down there when I can.
Ah konner understand whar sum payple konner learn t'spake proper lark.
You missed "me duck" off that.
HAHA yeah some are terrible. And even though some are probably really educated, talking like that gives me the impression that they are nothing but rednecks or hillbilly's.
Next video I'll get the southern accent out a bit for you.
Oh, but none of the accents 'round here compare to you guys. Especially Kenny's. We watch his video just to hear him talk!
You're quite right! :D
... me duck.
I like accents. I like accents where diction is maintained, anyway. Scottish accents are /really/ good for this - they stray a lot from 'standard' pronunciation but they're cohesive and the diction is really strong.
Shall I do my video in a thick scouse accent?
Hahaha :((
The scouse accent is fine really - again, the diction is there (unlike estuary). But it's so ugly :((
:D
Maybe I'll do my strange non-accent that has hints of Kent and Liverpool in it. Also my girlfriend has said she'll participate. She has a lovely accent.
Yeah your accent is quite nice - just the right amount of scouse to give it character while still being well spoken.
What's her accent?
