Cool vid. I assume that's Tangler?
You do have cool accents. It's got a bit of the south in it (I mean the old south, before the south went further south - Virginia kinda south) and a bit of new england in there too. And it's not horrible like that fucking dreary horrible midwestern accent.
Yeah that's the one and only T4nner.
That's funny you say that. We lived in VA for a few years and at the time I seemed to have caught that lazy way they speak down there. I don't notice it much anymore, but when I'm around people from the south it comes back a bit.
:-)
I love Southern accents (other than Texas, everything goes to shit in texas). And the Virginia accent is really nice because, unlike the further-south ones, it's quite clipped and despite that southern laziness the diction is still quite strong. Any reason for the new england sound to it? Or is that just cos of proximity? (Or am I imagining it?).
Probably the proximity, but in these parts (especially Pittsburgh) people talk in a very distinctive way. They say Yins and yous guys and shit like that. That's probably where I've gotten it because that's where I went to college and spend a bit of time down there when I can.
Ah konner understand whar sum payple konner learn t'spake proper lark.
You missed "me duck" off that.
HAHA yeah some are terrible. And even though some are probably really educated, talking like that gives me the impression that they are nothing but rednecks or hillbilly's.
Next video I'll get the southern accent out a bit for you.
Oh, but none of the accents 'round here compare to you guys. Especially Kenny's. We watch his video just to hear him talk!
You're quite right! :D
... me duck.
I like accents. I like accents where diction is maintained, anyway. Scottish accents are /really/ good for this - they stray a lot from 'standard' pronunciation but they're cohesive and the diction is really strong.
Shall I do my video in a thick scouse accent?
