You wouldn't have much of an idea if he is doing a good job or not. You would get a very slanted view of Obama for the liberal media who has a lovefest with Democrats who spend money like drunken sailors.
On the contrary, I'd expect we, along other countries that are not the United States, would get a clearer picture than most US citizens - as Xen said, our news sources cover a broader political spectrum than most US ones, and furthermore the issues don't affect us directly so our judgements are not nearly as clouded by strong emotional investment, so we see and understand things more objectively.

Please don't try to tell me that you know better than I do, because I have a member of the family with special medical needs that has already had medication be denied and delayed due to the recent changes and they are to get worse.
Please explain how your anecdotal evidence is representative of the whole nation. Also, you do realise that the 'Obamacare' (again with the nicknames!) bill has only been in effect for one year? It's not a quick fix, and it will take time for the full impact to be felt. Myopia seems to be a recurring theme in US politics.
quote:
Now you tell me how wonderful Obama is. Tell me what a great job he has been doing with that "laser beam focus" on jobs. While you are at it, spend some time researching who most benefits by "green inittiatives" and Carbon Tax/Cap and Trade.
You have listed some negative aspects, not provided evidence that Obama is not doing a good job. No president or leader has made universally good decisions, or done no wrong; that doesn't mean that their net effect was bad.
quote:
Liberals always wanted to crow about how bad Bush was, how he was "Big Oil"; Halliburton was the big fat business meanie, George Bush was an evil, stupid tyrant. If Bush was so stupid, how did he get so powerful that not even the liberal intelligencia could "thwart" him?
At risk of edging towards conspiracy theory territory, I can quite easily imagine how an apparently stupid pupet leader could have strings pulled for him.
quote:
Now we have the "smartest guy in the room" as our president, a guy who chose to not divulge his birth certificate (no, I am not part of the "birther" movement, nor do I know anyone who is) until just recently. He should have done it if for no other reason than to avoid controversy. I think there is enough to lack of eveidence to say that nobody really even knows where the man was born. Perhaps his father paid to have his birth certificate altered or made sure it reflected a birth in the U.S. Certainly opportunity in the U.S. would make it desirable to be a citizen here, who would blame the father for that? But there is enough question about his citizenship or lack thereof that it should have been investigated properly.
In what way is any of this birth certificate bullshit relevant to the issues of the nation? What, you can't criticise the Obama administration's actual policies in a relevant manner so you resort to ad hominem attacks?
