Also I think that you should get shots of them all, assembled and of the insides, and put them up on a web page.
I'm going to do a web page of a range of my whittlings soonish.
Yay =)
I used to do wood carving but it's been a long time, I'm afraid. I even did a nice cat once, but it's long since been fed to the fire.
Your balls are truly amazing!
I too was wondering why you were calling the flat picture a ball. It all makes sense now. I am most impressed indeed.
Excuse me - I'd like to point out that I was in fact the first person to recognise that this is "the thread that wouldn't die".
Whilst I never doubted your carving skillz, it's only when you highlight the scale of your work that the talent is underlined. For a while I thought the balls were - erm... ball-sized and thus, while not doubting the artistic merit, I thought the detail was lacking. Seeing the scale now - they are quite skillfully detailed.
Damned internet.
Right, so. Could anyone please explain to me about how big a 50p piece is? Are we talking a dime? A nickel? Perhaps even a quarter? American money here people, if you please.
An inch across, give or take a fraction.
Slightly bigger than a quarter. And with slightly more sides, obviously.
Well whittled work. Is there any of your work on display around the airevalley area?
