Panel seems to be doing a reasonable job. Done some tests with lights on for 8-10 hours and fairly happy.
Started the insulation process over the last couple of evenings. Kinda just winging it, hopefully it won't be too rubbish.
Good question. I think possibly yeah, but it could be difficult.
Sitting in the driver's seat I can collapse the end passenger seat which gives access to the back. Could then fold the other seats, unfold the bed extension then get inflating. There's a van ignition 12v socket at the back of the van to use
Storage and to bring the bed height up to the height of the front seats when folded, that then allows me to fold another piece over the seats to extend the bed length. I wouldn't fit otherwise (6ft 2/188cm).
Eventually I will turn the storage in to some drawer units to put out at the back. When the doors are open
It's fitted to a camera!
Works quite nicely during the day, when it's not raining too hard. Especially useful for reversing, combined with the van parking sensors.
That's the 3rd one I'd bought though. First one broke, second one was absolutely awful, this one is good enough and hasn't died yet. Got refunds on the others.
Still not spent the night in it yet (fail)
Been lazy and not really finished it, but been trying to get more bits done whilst I've got nothing else to do.
Next major thing I hope to get done this weekend is a drawer unit that will slide out of the back to hold a camping stove. Then I think to get going just tidy things, some panels to cover the wooden frame. Then eventually cushions rather than an airbed.
RPi van computer installed in the electrics area, along with a bluetooth amplifier
Speakers - not the most ideal spot, but work quite nicely
