I don't understand what the deal is with side buttons, but I'm not a power user.

I'm not really sure how much I use the side buttons but I do miss them when I don't have them.

I can't believe I'm tempted to buy a £130 mouse :O All the other ones seem to have various issues which are putting me off them.

Won't the same money buy you an equally good £6 mouse + ~50 pints?

Jeesh, it's a total no-brainer!

My bevved-up weakness was for domains that amused me.  I still have a few. misterclippy.com, mynameislegion.org etc.  I missed cyb.org by 10 days, which I regretted for years.

> Why is it so hard to find a decent mouse?

Probably because of Apple, and the arseholes who think they need to imitate them, and thus entirely cripple the choice in every arena Apple have products in.

I recently thought my computer was making bad noises indicating impending failure, but it turned out just to be the mouse cable scraping against a bit of foil. :S

> Also I'm learning PHP/Laravel.

Why - has PHP stopped being poo yet?

Maybe Apple should make gaming mouses. Or maybe not, cos they'd ruin them too.

My slightly pricey mouse arrived today and it is lovely. Understated design, nothing like a lot of gaming mice. Wireless performace is flawless. No noticeable latency at all, easily beats my wired mouse. Lovely buttons, scroll wheel feels nice and clicks nicely without scrolling.

It's ambidextrous, side buttons on each side are optional. I'm gonna try it with the right side ones in to see if I can use them without pressing them while holding the mouse. The DPI switch button is on the bottom, which some won't like, but I never used it on my MX518. And it's only 80g.l (26g lighter than my MX518)

I'm now sold on wireless. Wasn't expecting it to be as good as wired, but don't want to go back now.

Learning PHP in Uni. Undergrads are doing C#/.Net but we get Laravel instead.

Hahaha! :D I read the message I was posting and it definitely said wire. My phone must have corrected it. Maybe it thinks I like to scrape my wife :'D

At least you didn't do it in the previous post too! Would have been way worse with "I'm now sold on wifeless" added. :/

Didn't you already learn C#, or am I getting confused with someone else?

It'd be better if mouse companies would forget about calling them "gaming" mouses and just make good mouses that work for gamer AND power users, and most specifically forget about the "MMO" bollocks where they cram a keypad on the side with no thought for ergonomics or mental capacities.

Maybe I should start going to hardware trade shows and bugging every rep from every company until they either listen to me and/or get a restraining order...

I'd definitely be sold on wifeless :D

This is sold as a gaming mouse, probably why it's so expensive, but is great for general use too. Obviously has a bit of RGB lighting to make gamers happy.

Yes I did C#. Which helped a lot for learning Java. Only problem after doing so much C#/Java, I don't get on with dynamically typed languages.
