MS ISO downloads only work with retail keys, not oem. If you had read the OP more carefully, you would have already known that. But you didn't. :-/
For those following this saga with bated breath: I just used the MSI "Smart Tool" to slipstream USB 3 drivers into the W7 iso, else kb would not work during installation. And after searching for how to disable UEFI, I re-read this entire thread and found Ant's post where he mentions that it's better to leave it enabled.
