Honestly don't know what to expect.

Minority labour government, minority tory government, small majority tory government and tory landslide all seem distinct possibilities at this stage.

The election will begin within the next 12 hours.

That's the limit of what I'm willing to predict.

Increased Tory majority.
UKIP vote will as good as disappear moving to the Tories, meaning a number of Labour seats are very vulnerable.

Youth vote is desperately needed for a swing towards Labour, but unfortunately that's unlikely.

Yup, increased Tory majority, collapse of UKIP and LibDem votes, respectable showing for Labour.  Sounds like the SNP may take a bit of a hit.

My long-term hope is that post-hoc number-crunching will demonstrate that the number of Labour seats would have seriously increased under a proportional representation voting system; and that this will spur them into adopting it as a future manifesto pledge and the smaller parties (who stand to gain most from PR) will form a temporary progressive alliance with Labour to see it through.

If something like that doesn't happen, then constituency boundary changes planned for the coming parliamentary term will ensure that England, at least, will be governed by the Tories for decades to come.
