My crops failed because of blight, and no one would work as a tailor (had 1 person able to tailor and they kept doing other stuff, even when I turned off every other job on the work list. I had no cloth but did have pelts and leather, I probably missed a setting somewhere that caused the bills not to be completed. There are very many settings in this game)
Just about made it through my first winter, couple of days left to go.
My God, it's been tough. Unspeakable things were done. The one raiding party that dared come out in the - 14 degree weather were... put to good use. And don't ask what happened to the pet boars. Or pet bear for that matter.
At one point a bunch of ibex that I was hunting went batshit crazy and incapacitated all of my useful people. The two I had left uninjured are a sculptor and researcher, who fucking refused to light a fire to keep warm. Had to get my engineer out of his medical bed to light a fire for those fucks to stop them getting hypothermia.
I'm on the 12th or 13th of winter now, and it's suddenly warmed the Fuck up and I'm getting constant raids coming now. Bit annoying as I need to grow/hunt food, so guess it's going to be long pig again for a few days.
It's a really rather clever and good game. I'd consider paying money for it, if I had any :((
Heading towards my second winter now, got about 1600 food saved up and got 2 geothermal plants running my heaters/coolers. Something's bound to go wrong now :'D
One of my colonists went berserk and started setting fires. I arrested her and put her in jail. Normally I can execute/release/try and recruit prisoners, but my guys just seem.to.be ignoring her. Might just be a glitch, a few other things stopped working right too. Hopefully it'll have fixed itself when I play again.
Imagine my disappointment when instead of getting me SimTunes for Christmas like I'd asked for, my granny got me an add-on pack for Astragon's Fishing Simulator which added extra companions to the game, but I didn't have the game in the first place, so there was no need for Fisherman's Friends.
