I'd like to see you express yourself in a drawing/colouring that's nothing to do with any digital medium.

Get some charcoal and do some drawing lad.

I gave my daughters an old sketch pad with a few of my 1994 scribblings. According to my eldest (aged 6), my work was beautiful and should be in a gallery. According to her father, her standards are low. But she's very sweet.

Was '94 a particularly good year for your work?

The only thing I drew in '94 was a drill bit as part of an art project at school.

Yes, it was an excellent year for my artwork. It was when I stopped!

Ah, clever - you're sure to see a rise in value because of that.

At college I toyed with the idea of faking my own death to increase the value of my work, going to live in the Caribbean somewhere and slowly release paintings to market that had hitherto been undiscovered. They would have been 'discovered' in lofts and greenhouses all over Yorkshire.

Only problem is that I wasn't that good and wasn't selling anything anyway. :C

David Hockney's drawings suck, it doesn't stop him.

You can do if you like. Just don't be born in Bradford and become a Bradford hero and I'll be happy.

Working well for him because he was on a TV show. So that means PB needs to get on a show first!

The picture of course. Though the blog entry usefully contextualises it and is worth reading.
