I think it's just a time she would normally fall asleep when she was younger and we've stuck to that. And if she sleeps til 8am then I'm happy with that :)

She's a nightmare at the moment though, climbing up on the cabinet we have next to the sofa and TV. She's just started climbing up on the table we put in front of the glass cabinet to stop her getting in there and no amount of "NO!"s will stop her. Grr.

There are dragon skeletons beneath the college? I will check that out to see if it helps. I'm still on the original unpatched version which probably doesn't help either.

Ah, nevermind then :) I now have a dragon stuck in the archway into the college. It has it's head and a wing stuck in the building above so won't move when I fire at it.

No doubt this thread will see more activity in a couple of days.

Are there any suggested mods that should be installed?

I think the only one I have installed is the high resolution sign posts, not that I read them often anyway. There is a better inventory but that didn't work with my unpatched version. Maybe I should update it. Hmm.

I have one which makes horses sprint a lot faster. Then via a console command, you can increase the level of your horse so that it can actually sprint for longer than 17 seconds before becoming knackered. The result is that horses are actually useful and you can realistically play without using fast travel. Also, another mod makes horses cowardly. They'll still engage in battle, but if they take a bit of damage, they'll flee to a safe distance. REALLY useful as it does stop the infuriation of watching your horse charging off into a group of bandits only to get killed.

My horse squares up to dragons and survives, I think you need to talk to your dealer.

Also, I can't think of a signature, any ideas?

I haven't travelled on a horse yet but I'm sure if I do I'll be using at least the cowardly horse mod.

Indeed. There's two versions, one of which makes the horses "essential" so they don't die. Of course, the best mod would be one that just makes the horse stay where you fucking park it instead of sprinting off into battle all the time.

As for running, my beef is that in normal running mode, the horses are barely faster than running on foot, and when you sprint, the horse gets knackered within seconds. Combining it all, vanilla horses are slow, stupid and die all the time. And I tend to prefer playing by avoiding fast travel as it does make you think a bit more about expeditions and the like.

Haha, I did that ages ago, one of the first questy things I did. Not sure I see the point, don't really like the wolf form and I no longer get benefits from sleeping in beds. Think I'll go find a cure...

Being a werewolf isn't really any good. Actually turning into a werewolf is pretty pointless as it doesn't make you very hard and you'll still die just as easily. It does have the benefit of making you immune to disease, but that's the only benefit.

Personally, i couldn't wait until i managed to cure it. Assuming you became a werewolf via the Companions questline when the chief dude sends you to bring back the witches head's so you can cure him, make sure you keep one for yourself

What's the benefit of having a house? I've been playing for god knows how many hours and I'm up to level 18, and I still haven't bought one :$

Whenever I get a decent amount of money I see to spend it, thus making Skyrim very realistic :$

A place to store stuff, mainly. Plus you can decorate some of them with your weapons and armour and other stuff.

Mainly as MrTrent said - it's a great place to store all those dragon bones/scales until you get your Smithing up high enough to use them for armour. I also use it for storing other stuff like alchemy ingredients, armour enchanted for smithing/alchemy, the thousands of (non-soul-) gems I've collected, and Lydia.

I find the trick to killing a dragon is to have someone else distract it so you can stand by its wings and beat the crap out of it. Don't stand behind it, lest it flatten you with its tail. Alternatively, try to hide under/behind things until it keeps still, then shoot it. When it (eventually) lands, stay back and pepper it with arrows.

As far as I know that's all the bones/scales are for. Here's Lydia (left, in bone armour) and me (in scale).

I ended up running away :$

Where it had appeared was up a mountain with no where for it to land, so i just kept getting toasted* by it's icy breath.

That armour looks nice. I need to get my smithing skills up to scratch, can't even unlock the magical weapons perk yet :$
