Not sure what you mean by rolling but my system overrights each auto save every time, so now a nightingale and the quest has now disappeared from my quest list :(

If you go to the folder where the saves are stored (somewhere in appdata under user I think, can't look now as I'm not on that pc) it actually saves 3 of each (autosave and quicksave) and renames the older ones to like backup1, backup2 etc. (forget the actual suffix used) so you can just rename them and use them.
Yes I am doing both, different characters but the character I like the most is on my PS3, question in this day and age don't you and other forumites think its about time we had character migration between platforms ?, especially as all consoles are really only tarted up pc's anyway.

They're not tarted up PCs, they're PCs which are so locked down and crippled as to make any kind of creative activity impossible, attached to low-resolution monitors with, for most games, shitty control mechanisms.
But yeah it'd be cool if they let you carry characters across. Presumably steamworks lets you do that on Portal 2?
I expect the next MS console will be running Windows anyway, so it'll all be the same, all connected through GFWL.
I recommend reading A Dance in Fire. A tale of a Cyrodiil building commission clerk and the war stricken Bosmer who are in need of rebuilding their damaged citiies.
On the PC, it keeps 3 auto-saves and just overwrites the oldest each time. Hence you always have a couple of slightly earlier ones to count on in the case of disaster. I guess that's not the case for the PS3 version then. :(
I've been resisting the temptation to get Skyrim, or even start up Morrowind again, but could somebody please arrange for Rage Against the Machine to re-record their classic "Bullet in the Head" as "Arrow to the Knee"? It would win the internet.
Completed the Winterhold College quests last night. Thought I was going to have to level up some more but did eventually do it. I am now arch mage, whatever that means exactly. I had to go and defeat Morokei, one of the dragon priests who was a nasty bugger. Luckily he didn't get too close so I could hide behind pillars, use my slow mo shout so I could fireball him. He zapped my ass plenty of times before I finished him off.
Been reading some more of the books and learning about the history of everything, makes more sense of some stuff I've seen in the game. Definitely helping me to get into it more I think.
Think I'm at 23 hours now, level 15, more 3/4am bed times. Lots of fun though.
