You say that, but I had to buy a new bow yesterday after going up against a Draugr (or whatever they're called) that shouted at me and made me drop my bow. I couldn't find it after the fight, and I tend not to use enchanted bows for everyday fighting, so I had to buy a glass bow from an NPC.

That's what I mean. weapons and armour are not going to cost you more than 20k or so which is pocket change after a few quests/dungeons. My point being that even at level 12ish in Morrowind I was getting a lot of stuff that I couldn't even sell to creeper without doing the buy a load of expensive stuff at the same time as selling thing.

To be honest, I think this aspect of the selling in skyrim is fine. Given that there are different types of merchants that will buy different things, and you can just fast travel between cities to sell more stuff, I've only had a couple of times where someone's run out of money.
