The process is a trade secret, but experts speculate that the milk is partially lipolyzed (vomited into), producing butyric acid, which stabilizes the milk from further fermentation.
never trust a man in a blue trench coat, never drive a car when you're dead
I toured the factory in Hershey Pennsylvania when I was a kid, and I didn't see anyone vomiting except customers in the parking lot.
I just remembered something that seemed insignificant at the time: men wearing Hershey's coveralls would come out with fresh vomit pails, and bring the full ones back inside, for disposal I assume. Perhaps I'm just being naive?

The dirty bastards. I wonder what creates the vomit - human or animal? Perhaps it's not so unusual, I've had coffee before that's either been through a cat or a weasel depending on the translation from the Chinese on the packet... It was surprisingly OK.
Interestingly, it seems, many folks who drink "kopi luwak" are actually full of shit.

An investigation by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia found fraud to be rife in the kopi luwak industry, with producers willing to label coffee from caged civets with a "wild sourced" or similar label.[10] A BBC investigation revealed similar findings
Did you ever see such a messed up situation in your whole life, son?
I really should add something to that vote functionality, shouldn't I?
I think the original intention was to steal Eurogamer's implementation and allow you to automatically ignore people or posts (maybe both) with a low enough score.
