HAHA yeah some are terrible. And even though some are probably really educated, talking like that gives me the impression that they are nothing but rednecks or hillbilly's.
Next video I'll get the southern accent out a bit for you.
Oh, but none of the accents 'round here compare to you guys. Especially Kenny's. We watch his video just to hear him talk!
I like accents. I like accents where diction is maintained, anyway. Scottish accents are /really/ good for this - they stray a lot from 'standard' pronunciation but they're cohesive and the diction is really strong.
Maybe I'll do my strange non-accent that has hints of Kent and Liverpool in it. Also my girlfriend has said she'll participate. She has a lovely accent.
It's a sort of well-spoken Cheshire (well, I think it is – I'm not really sure what that is), although it seems that working and going to university with scousers has affected it somewhat. Her dad is from Yorkshire and her mum's Scottish, so there's elements of that in there, too.
Good video, if we ever do this sort of thing again, we'll have to send you some proper shit, like people have said the green and black's stuff is ace, they do a whole range of stuff - milk, dark, white, with ginger, with cherries, butterscotch... in fact all these:
I know there's some difference in the way you guys speak over there from region to region, but does it ever get to the point where you can't understand anyone because their accent's so thick?
There's people living in the northern reaches of Scotland here, out on the islands like Unst, where electricity is unknown, beards are required by law and middens are the order of the day. :|http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbgUaatvrG8&feature=related
Oh yeah, no doubt about it. People from Louisiana and the deep south are hard to understand sometimes. Also, yes racist, blacks are very hard for me to understand sometimes.
