It's quite intensive yeah, being java. It should hit the cpu harder than the gfx card though, I think. Actually there's a stats thing in game if you hold down... one of the F keys. Forget which. Try that and see if the loads look unusual. What's your spec?

Taking the server down in abotu 5 minutes to back it up and move to 64bit.

On it's return, the World will be living on a RAM Disc and the server will have 3GB allocated to it. Should make things a lot nippier :-)

Right, rebooted, back to running it from disk and using the old config file from before the reinstall.

Still running like a pig. The only change is that it's allocated 3GB of RAM, perhaps it's got too much? :\

Is it definitely all 64-bit, or does allocating 3GB mean it's doing lots of swap disking? Would definitely try setting it to same, and also double-checking that there's no other changes. `3.1415P265E589T932E846R64338`
