A powered rail every 12 is a bit too much. I used 1 ever 16 at first but realised even that's too much and will probably move up to 1 every 24 next time I make a track. Apparently one every 36 is all you need but I find that spurious.
Well you don't have to, you could have both. I prefer the normal rail network so do carry on with yours, I'm never in a huge rush to get around so like to travel on the Teh Rail Network
1. Make a nether gate in the real world and go through to the nether.

2. Destroy the nether gate in the nether (unless you came through to someone else's gate, in which case go to step 3)

3. Make a nether gate in the nether at exactly the equivalent place to your real-world one (i.e. divide the co-ords of the real world one by 8 (except for Y, it can be anywhere in the Y) (this step ensures that your gate will not be twinned with any others)
Yeah, I was going to add that bit too. I went to the nether after you kindly created my gate (I've got the Obsidian now, if you want it back?), but couldn't see any other gate neaby to connect it to, or to go through.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCKING NETHER. Was trying to make myself a portal and stepped onto a bit of air that I /swear/ had netherrack under it a moment before. Lost two full sets of diamond tools, a stack and a bit of glowstone and half a stack of obsidian. :@:((:@
My track has finally got to the main area, but I don't want to invade other people's space (assuming I haven't already). Could someone either link it up, or give me some indication of where it should link to please?
