This isn't free stuff - this is because Linn lost stuff due to a stupid bug which the damned developers can't or won't fix.
Something cool to do with pistons: build a transformer.
A sculpture that looks like a car, then you flick a switch and it turns into a robot.
Probably very tricky to do without rotations, and no doubt a pain in the arse to power pistols (especially to make it go in reverse), but still it would be exceedingly cool if you pulled it off. :)
I. Hate. Bloody. Lava.
Finally managed to find some diamonds, had 40 Redstone with me and then I go and fall in the lava and lose everything except a single dollop of redstone.
If you're feeling flush with it, you could drop off the 39 blobs that I lost. I'm more annoyed at myself for chasing after more stuff by a lava pool without dropping off what I had first.
Come get it if you want it :P I've done that before a few times, had a stack of diamonds, a couple of other bits, thought I'll go drop stuff off amd come back to see what else is around then BURNED by lava. Both times (or maybe it was one time and the other I got out of the lava so could pick my stuff up) I was lucky enough to get to some water.
