I'd be wary of attributing weird toplogocal/geological stuff to updates. It seems to be very world and region based. I've had whole worlds where coal was very scarce and regions where iron was ridiculously abundant and stuff. The randomness of these things seems to be quite... clumpy. Which is good, cos genuine randomness is too, and it leads to interesting worlds.
I didn't actually attribute anything to the update, I simply pointed out that the chunks where it is occurring happen to be ones which were generated after the update was applied. :P
I never use English, I use an enhanced personalised variant of the crappy thing. :P
What I did was identify the area where I had been exploring, and noted a coincidental difference to other areas I had been previously, to see if anyone else had noted anything similar (there was a sentence to this effect which I forgot to add since I was sidetracked by thinking about the adventuring changes and thus went and talked about them).
You prematurely jumped to conclusions that I was actually attributing my noticements to the change, rather than the truth of still being in the data gathering phase and not having performed any acts of attribution (other than of the area within which I'd been).
