MineEdit lets you add things to your inventory, and repair partly used/damage kit. It even lets you add lots of dynamite to your inventory, for those /really/ big projects.

Yeah, I think anything like that tends to spoil the game though. It's difficult not to get carried away.

Having said that, it's fun to dynamite the fuck out of a world when you're bored with it.

Yeah, it was on for a couple days but only patch connected to it :(

 

My upstream isn't great but should be ok for a fee players. When I get virgin's 100mef line I'm also getting a new pc /just/ for serving up .minecraft :C

 


Also also, coal is not essential now. You can turn wood into charcoal in the furnace, charcoal burns for the dame length as coal and can be used for torches too.

Right. I can either keep XP on that laptop, or maybe install something else to try to run a Minecraft dedicated server, depending on performance.. what d'you reckon? The XP install is very slow :C

Thought about that, it's just too common though. Hard to mine, yeah, but common. Needs to be something about 1/20th as common as diamond and as hard to mine as obsidian.

I've also thought... any game gets boring after a while, you've got to the point where you'e secure, you have a nice base and enough armour/weapons/food to take care of pretty much anything and you've explored as far as you reasonably can and all that kinda thing. Would be nice if there were something like random artefacts in the game. Super rare objects which, while you carry them do stuff like... boost running speed or allow you to teleport home once a day or have more health or be immune to falling or ... y'know, powerup kinda things. A bit like artefacts in STALKER. Maybe even a similar system where you have 2 or 3 artefact slots so you're forced to choose (would be best if there's looottts of permutations). So it's more about tailoring your character to how you play than powering up so the game becomes too easy. I guess each artefact could have a downside too like immune to fire/lava but can't wear armour or something like that.

Might also be cool if they were permanent, i.e. carried across between worlds and between single and multiplayer. Trading them in MP would be fun. Or killing someone and stealing, even.
