Hello Rendle.

I would like to create a nice little application that overrides the behaviour of the Desktop in an identical way to the Google Desktop Sidebar (and to a lesser extent, the Vista Sidebar).

I want to create an application that docks to a side of the desktop (or more specifically, to a side of the chosen Screen).

This can be done fairly easily although in a hacky way with a timer and the Screen static object giving me the exact dimensions of the screen(s). But I think there must be a better way of doing this.

What this hacky method doesn't allow me to do, is alter the perceived size of the desktop/screen, so maximised windows maximise but leave my 'docked' sidebar application still displayed (ie, it's not 'on top', but rather other windows maximise alongside it).

How's this done? :)

Thanks for any help.

I still mention "my mate what did Doorz 3000".

Not in particularly interesting company, admittedly.

It was a little too yellow from what I remember.

You could change the colours with the theme creator. But yeah. I have all the magazines it was in and the reviews always make me laugh.

"It is very fast but too bright" = "It has no features and was made by Steve :C"

If they knew you, they'd know to expect it to be retina-crushingly bright and vivid.
