Next year I'm going to try my damnedest to get to one if not both the northern and southern meets. Then you can all buy me a drink or 5.

Honest.

We might release Beehive Forum 1.0 as well.

Oh how I jest.

You bloominers-well should, Matt. You know that you would be plied with pints of gratitude until you could no longer remember how to run BoughtonP from a command line.

As for Beehive 1.0, I refer you to Xeno's Paradox.

You definately should. In fact, what's stopping you from jumping on a train and making it tomorrow?

Which of the following would you most prefer?
A: a puppy,
B: a pretty flower from your sweety, or
C: a large properly formatted data file?

My Sister's 25th Birthday.

Was supposed to be going to a mate's gig at Clapham Grand but can't go to that either.

Boo. etc.

Which is where i'm about to head off to.
Of course I can't spend much and have to steer clear of alcohol anyway as I don't think Serg wants me hungover for the drive tomorrow.
The things we do for friends.

We'll see if we can organise a London meet closer to Christmas. But not so close people are working because it's their busiest time.

Well that was a good laugh! Apart from those who are staying at Manthrob Towers, in which case it's probably still a good laugh!

I ended up spending the evening helping a friend with her MSc in environmental technology by putting together a spreadsheet to work out the optimal amount of land a Malawian subsistance farmer could use to grow cash crops (for biofuel, for example) while still producing more food than before by spending the income on fertiliser for the staple crop.

I think I'm going to dream about it :(

It was a good laugh, right up until Mouse crawled his way back from getting his ankle mangled by a feral badger, at which point it became utterly hilarious.

Well, maybe not utterly hilarious. The good news is he's mostly OK, except for the ankle. And maybe the knee.

One Night At McCool's

There's one thing I don't understand: Why would Randy and Jewel, for some reason, have sex right at the beginning of the movie?

-- Um, like, are you kidding? Randy sees the golden opportunity (like finding plutonium by accident) and takes it.

The mandolin didn't make an appearance then? Or did you and your friend come up with a totally 'rad' Malawian subsistence farmer mandolin-backed rap or something?

Now there's a niche market.
