Not so much a novelty song.

Done by the same person (Jonathon Coulton)who did the I'm still alive track for Valves Portal.

By all accounts he has a cult following online, and decent turn out at his gigs.

Here he is with other nerds from the podcast TWIT (This week in Tech)
doing the song in ROCK BAND!
