I will (if I come) probably umm and er and go for the train, then come back, then go and get the next train. Or I might stay over. But I might not come at all.

I (+Bob if he comes, which he probably will) would like to request a place to stay for the night should it be necessary, as alcohol will probably be consumed, making a 200-mile Saturday-night drive out of the question.

Hmmmm.

At this stage I'm not sure. Can I say yes, probably but reserve the right to wuss out if my diary fills itself up any more than its current state?

Also, the basket of dogs seems to be getting rather full. Will May be able to squeeze me in?

Ooh, and I just got back from a week of working oop in the grim north to find a a charming little package waiting for me. I'll be installing and fiddling as soon as hand eye co-ordination returns to a reasonable level. Ta again!

The noises commonly associated with flatulence are caused by the vibration of the anal sphincter, and not by the buttocks. The sound varies depending on the tightness of the sphincter muscle and velocity of the gas being propelled, as well as other factors such as water and body fat. The auditory pitch (sound) of the flatulence outburst can also be affected by the anal embouchure.

For the train tickets booking in advance can make the difference of paying £20 for a return to paying £100.

The Trainline isn't a train operator so make their money by charging a wee bit extra on top of the 'normal' ticket price.

If you do book then buy from www.gner.co.uk . It may only be 1 or 2 pounds cheaper, but on some occasions I've saved £10-£15 by booking direct with GNER (the actual train company).

wow, that much? I'll check that out. Last time I was there, it was much cheaper to buy a rail pass here, so I'll check that too. Don't know how easy it would be to reserve from here otherwiae.

Dear Kenny,

Have you managed to find out about trains yet? I ask because I was hoping to go and buy my tickets this afternoon and obviously it's better if you Glasgows sort out which train we're getting as you're the only ones doing the first leg.

Many thanks,

Boff

Pretty much every train I would normally be taking is disrupted that weekend. Baws.

Yeah - I'm wondering if we should force the southern-puff "Northerners" to move it to another date. Unless Lindy's actually going to do her crazy trip from Canada and has booked tickets or anything.

If Lindy makes it from Canada and the Scotch contingent fails... well, we'll never live it down (fail)

Surely at least one of you has a car, or a horse and cart, or whatever the equivalent is in the technological level that Scotchland has reached.

I'm assuming you've got as far as the wheel?

Indeed. If Manthrob is able to provide dogbasket facilities then driving down, spending the night at Manthrob towers then driving back on Sunday might well be a lot easier.

I'll have to see how badly the disruption affects me. Hopefully it won't be a problem as I'm only one stop down on the train from Darlo to York.
