I've got a few dozen company names (car dealerships), and I'd like a list of corresponding addresses (well postcode would be sufficient).

Does anyone know if that's something I could throw at Google Maps?
(or any other mapping/address thing for that matter)

For bonus points, being able to calculate distance between each address and a handful of locations (ie: my place, my sister's & my family's) would be cool.

www.yell.com if you know the company name and town.

www.streetmap.co.uk to find the location by postcode or address.

www.royalmailgroup.com to get an address from a postcode and vice versa.

www.routeplanner.rac.co.uk to find routes and distances.

Which of those allow me to pass in a list of companies and get a list of associated postcodes?

yell. If you pass in tthe list one at a time. If you want the moon on a stick, you're probably out of luck again.

Had a look at the GMaps API a little while ago for integrating it into a customer management system and it's very good. Only problem is when you start searching for company names and getting two results...

Thanks. I've managed to get a list of postcodes through hacking about with the Skoda website, so I only really need a distance thing now. Or I guess just a list of what the local postcode prefixes are, since it's less "how far" and more "is it nearby" that I want to know.
There's probably a map of postal areas somewhere, but haven't got round to looking yet.

Bloody uneducated northern savage.

London is the North West of the South East. There's the whole of Kent, Surrey and Sussex too.

Don't make me get my map with lines on out! :@

These places that you speak of... they must be south of Darlington for I have no idea what you're on about...
