The Memory Man was the second delay effect (not counting flangers/phasers/etc.) I ever had, and I was quite pleased with it at the time. I had a Maestro Echoplex before that, which I loved dearly, but it was such a noisy bitch it was tough to use unless you were really wanking. It was also pretty low-fi, as was the Memory Man, but back then that wasn't as important as it is these days. To top that off, it was maintenance-intensive. The Memory Man was a breath of fresh air in that regard.

The digital units I've had since have all sounded dramatically better, each more so than the last. Problem with them is they're not easy to play with. There's a lot to be said for having a few knobs to tweak, rather than rowing through eleventy bajillion presets and 12 properties to get something dialed in right.

But, with 11, there's always that little extra bit when you need it ...

I am, at present, interested (rather than committed). I shall have to see how "it" goes. Could be muchos fun.

Could be, and we can drink all Mouse's celebratory booze and play riffs from Stairway to Heaven on his guitars.

Any room in that there dogbasket?

Having checked my diary it would appear that I can't do either bank holiday, but the 19th is eerily free.

I'll call it the Scottishes basket, then.

I'm going to suggest that we actually make this the Northern Meat instead. I'm not sure my liver will run to two in a fortnight.

Not bad. I thought this song might be anti-God, but it seems more to be against the president, which is cool by me.

Incidentally, although I possibly will be attending it ought to be noted that I have no musical ability whatsoever. I'll see if Bob wants to come though, and he can impress you all with his piano skillz.

Strangely enough that is the exact wording on my asbo.

Personally I thought I was getting on great with them. I could practically hear wedding bells...

Right then. It seems increasingly likely that I will be there. If you want me to spend money I suggest that you have a nice bouzouki or mandola there (I haven't decided which I want yet - I prefer the sound of bouzoukis but I don't have the 6 inch fingers necessary to actually play a tune on one, and I do like playing tunes) which is cheap enough for me to buy and nice enough to be irresistable.

And then I can play on it the tune that the hairy men in the woods in my dream played last night before they all walked into a lift and vanished.

Haha, ace. I will sort out all that shiznit. We have been getting some "Countryman" bozoukis and octave mandolas in, they look a little thrown together but they infact sound ace and are cheaper than Greg.

Looks like I may not actually be able to make it as it's my friends birthday that weekend. I already said we'd go do shit with her, but forgot to write it down :(

I *may* still be able to come up for opening + curry, but it's a long way to go to stay sober :|

Pahh... bring her! I'd want someone to take me to Bradford for a curry if it was my birthday.
