I am working on the site revamp of my office's website, and am having an issue with the homepage - the external site icon won't show up at the end of links.

It works fine on every other page on the site (example here) and i'm using the same instructions in the CSS that i use for the rest of the site (the other pages have a different CSS). I can't for the life of me figure out why the external site icons won't show - the space for them is there - when you hover over the links, you can see where it would be, but the icon itself is MIA.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

In main.css you have
code:
background: url("/image/external.png") center right no-repeat;

In top.css you have
code:
background: url(/image/external.png) center right no-repeat;

AFAIK, the quotes are optional, but try adding them and seeing if that makes any difference?

Did that, no effect.

Also tried using the full URL of the icon file. Also no effect.

Honestly, I'm baffled.

Plus it doesn't help that the web uploader i have to use contains instructions like this:

quote:
Please move a right-hand side window to the destination,respectively,using an adress bar in the window of the left-hand side opened downwart, and copy a file to sending origin.
The file(folder) as a public server with the same file(folder) stored in the Web folder is synchronous-transmitted
by file transfer to public server.
Therefore, please delete an unnecessary (there is no necessity in a Web desplay) file from a Web folder.

At one point it says to click the "Resister" button to continue.

And yes, the button does indeed say "Resister" on it.

Oh, just noticed something else.

In IE, in the Japan and Africa section, the little list icon doesn't show up at the start of the 4th link. It shows up when you hover over the link, but not otherwise. Code is identical to the other links. Shows up properly in Firefox.
