Whilst I never doubted your carving skillz, it's only when you highlight the scale of your work that the talent is underlined. For a while I thought the balls were - erm... ball-sized and thus, while not doubting the artistic merit, I thought the detail was lacking. Seeing the scale now - they are quite skillfully detailed.

Thankee kindly, Chris and Patch. You're much more helpful than the people I talked to about it originally, who thought for some ungodly reason that I was referring to an American 50 cent piece. (I clearly, *clearly* said 50 pence.)
