Camper Van

Not illegal, no requirement for back windows in the UK. Well, certainly not for vans.
But it's the first vehicle I've had without back windows, so I'm now looking into a rear camera linked to a rear view mirror screen.

The plan at the moment is to use some sort of insulation in the cavities (behind side wall ply), then bubble insulation it (like below), then carpet line. But will possibly make use of the ply somehow. Certainly want a solid base, but don't necessarily need the ply on the sides.

Carpet lining something like this - but maybe not the floor.

Solar panel ordered. 100w flexible unit. Feel like I've done nowhere near enough research but just going with it.

I'll get a leisure battery this weekend.

AGM lead acid.
Would love Lithium but way too expensive.

Things that have arrived

Leisure battery
Solar Controller
Solar Cable
Box of mixed spade connectors
Roof entry gland
Fuse box
Control panel
12v Cable

Still waiting for the solar panel. Should probably order some decent gauge cable for some interconnects.

I like your thinking, but no. Just regular cable that's thick enough with some specific connectors (MC4).

I actually noticed that too last night. Thought you'd just binned off the domain.

well, its not like I've used it for anything in years. But mm, just for the history. Oh well. Maybe I'll try and get it back off 'em.

Do you have a 'grace' period to reclaim it?

I think it's just the hosting not the domain itself. We shall see! If I get round to it. Long time since I actually needed the thing.

Sorted the solar panel, done some cabling, waiting for insulation to arrive so I can get on with that.

100W flexible solar panel. Not had a decent day of sun to really see how well it performs.

Temporary setup for charging the battery from solar. It is charging, but not as quickly as I had hoped, but do need a sunny day to find out properly.

Done some cabling today and put up some temporary lighting with an RF remote control for dimming, hooked up to the leisure battery
