Judging by the comments on Hot UK Deals it seems it was *fairly* wide spread - even had some available to buy online and on their ebay store :(

I got one  :-$ I'd ordered a 5TB Seagate initially from Amazon, then realised that the WD Elements is £10 cheaper and has an extra year of warranty...

I'd rather get a 2tb usb powered one :C

I nearly bought a Toshiba external drive that was on offer in Tesco (seen it without an offer for the same price since though) and was going to rip the HDD out of it. Luckily I'd found out the drive inside has a proprietary connector soldered to the drive. And the USB connection on it is crap and comes loose causing connection problems.

Not this one, is it?

Planing on plugging it into the xbox and forgetting about it, so as long as the connector lasts for one plugging (NJ) then I guess it's OK.

Same model I think but a 1TB drive instead. I think it should survive one insertion (PJ).

OK, well gonna wait for blick Friday and see if there's any other deals and if not just order the fucker.
