Small SSD Uses

I have a couple 8GB SSD's and I'd like to figure out a use for them.  Is there anything I can use them for with MySQL or Apache, or Linux in general?  I have one that I'm using as the boot drive in my FreeNAS system and that seems to work well.  I didn't know if I could use one for a MySQL cache or something?  Any ideas?

They definitely make a difference with Kodi/XBMC. My Chromebox with a 16GB SSD is very smooth and really quick to boot.

How could I use it on a Deb system I already have setup?  Any idea?

fsarchiver might work. You're probably better off doing a clean install (maybe) on an ssd-friendly file system?

edit: I think I misunderstood your meaning was to transfer the OS to the ssd. If so, you could instead use it for swap space, stick your mysql db(s) on it etc., just by changing a line or two on config files.

I'm waiting for ssds to become obsolete before I'll fuck with 'em.
