Oh and I didn't do that (I would have almost certainly focused differently for one thing, and probably lit it better too), and it doesn't look like the sort of image that would be the default - what with a photo of a ring having nothing to do with bees or forums.

Wrong colour, wrong shape, it's not solid, and is unlikely to reveal an inscription when held within a flame.

Also, an exclamation would be italicised whilst a non-exclamation would not be in large uppercase. Your choice of hue is dubious too.

I think Xen's outburst is more at the alarming alacrity and prejudice you've displayed for a Big Issue seller who happens to be on the large side, not to mention the accusations of prostitution and subtle hints of playing the immigration game. Assuming circumstances based on appearances is a wholly unwholesome thing and unfortunately all too easy to do and should banished to the wilds as soon as is feasible.

Our local Big Issue seller has some gold teeth. I assume he's a pirate and have made him a nice hat out of a sheet of paper to complete the illusion.
