Tablet-medo

I've got an original Nexus 7.

Girlfriend wants a tablet and wants the Nexus 7 (2013). Seems there's been some decent deals lately due to being end-of-life/black friday/christmas etc, but there's bugger all stock at reasonable prices.

Next on this list is the Tesco Hudl 2.

What other tablets are available around the £100-£150 price point? 7-8 inch and 1080p screen.

I'm going to try and see what Samsung tablets are available but it feels like they've got shitloads of models.

Is the Nexus 7 more than just a re-branded Asus?

The Asus MeMo pads do seem to be around the same price; and similar tech from a very quick look at the product comparison (which I can't link because their website is shit).

No, well, maybe no.  I'm not sure if it's rebranded or made special for Google.  Probably rebranded though.  Good tablets.

Yeah, it's not a direct re-brand (like I think the early Nexus phones were); they've got different processors (Atoms vs Snapdragons), and other differences-that-may-or-not-matter.

Might still be an option if Ant can find them in stock though.

Thanks for the Memo suggestion.

Seems like the higher res Memo 7inch is only really available on the continent unfortunately.

Also is it just me that's been saying it (in my head) as me-mo rather than memo?

Buy her an iPad. Tell her she's worth it.

I'd argue that a tablet without the "Google Bloatware" isn't even worth (lb symbol)70!
