I've got a drysuit, but I don't think it'll be much use to you.

Do you have a pee valve?

It was about $200. I am currently waiting for the Navy Seal. He is putting on his wetsuit right now and I have no doubt that he will be able to retrieve it. He dives here all the time. I am going to record this so I never forget the day I called in the military to rescue my toy!

It recorded about 10-15 seconds under the water.  I am going to put the quad in a large bag of rice for the night and see what works tomorrow!

Nice!

You do know it's never going to work again, right?

How much did the seal cost you?

Seals are free in Canada.

Nope. It has a zip. Which I have learned, after falling into the Dart on New Year's Day, you should keep closed when clambering around on the bank.

I dunno, it may work.  If not the replacement parts aren't very expensive.  The Seal was free!

Your friend seems to be headdesking the water, as if to say "I put on my drysuit for *that*!?". But still, you've got your quad back, so now you need to thank him by hovering round his house at night, taking videos through the windows. JUST LIKE THE FEDS.

Maybe give him a credit towards the first blackmail payment?

I would consider that but I think you missed the part about him being an ex Navy Seal?  He currently travels out of country to retrieve abducted children.  I think he has a particular set of skills and I'd rather he use them on someone else!

So does it live?

A bunch of us got the go ahead yest day to design and build a quadcopter at uni. And the university is going to pay for all the parts :-D

He sounds kinda scary. Personally, I like making friends with kinda scary people. Success!

Make it powerful enough to carry a decent camera.

It's definitely going to have video, wireless comms (for video and control), gps, and proximity sensors. But I think the goal is to also have it run with an autopilot.

I'd quite like to mount some kind of nerf type thing on it, too.

Yup.  It has two bad motors but I have replacements on the way.

I am going to build one myself I think.  You will have to keep us updated on the one you are building!

Are you sure it's the motors and not the ESCs?
