Yes, it's a proud day for the Cornish as they're officially recognised as a minority. Presumably this means they'll officially be allowed to complain of discrimination.

According to Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander "Cornish people have a proud history of sheep-shagging and a distinct baaaaa", while campaigner Bert Biscoe said "I very much welcome that the Cornish as a group can kneel behind all other flocks in British society."

Apparently, Danny Alexander will make the announcement on a visit to the county later. Pssst, Danny, I think the cat's already out of the bag. Or should I say the sheep's out of the pen?
