Here's a quick quiz for you all in two parts.

Part 1:
What 'thing' have the most people seen with their own eyes ?
It has to be something unique ie there is only one of it, it has to be something on this planet (everyones seen the sun) and it has to be something that can be seen completely in one frame of view (lots have seen the Grand Canyon but only parts of it at a time) and multiple views by the same people don't count.

I'll kick off with - Big Ben.

Part 2:
What image (video or still) have the most people seen ?
It doesn't have to be of this planet but it has to be a unique image ie one that there is only one original of (there's lots of pictures of Big Ben but perhaps only one 'official' photo that most have seen) web pages dont' count (ie Googles home page) and again neither do multiple views by the same person.

My guess - Neil Armstrong stepping onto the moon for the first time.

Aeroplanes into the Twin Towers footage. Or Sergio Agueroooooooo scoring for Manchester City against QPR in the 94th minute 13/05/2012. But probably the first.

Thing most seen in real life: The Kaaba?
Image most seen: Hmm. I have previously heard it's the default XP wallpaper, but that's a somehow upsetting answer. Maybe I'll go for Che? But maybe that doesn't count, as it's actually lots of different (very similar) images.

Ha, default XP wallpaper has definitely got to be it.

Greyhair says it's tricky getting round the Kaabah without some arse trying to cop a feel.

I don't know about the first one, but the second has got to be Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.

I wonder how that compares to Gangnam Style at this point.
