..that there's a small envelope next to the name in the 'to:' field of a thread which is open when that person has read the message. Bet its been there yonks and I've never noticed !

I think it used to be text way way way back. Can't remember what the text said. Time it was read maybe? (what's on the tooltip now). But yeah, the envelope has been there for ages.

Yes, it used to be text giving the time read. It was a lot easier to use in that format IMO.
