I'm about to freak the fuck out on these people. I can't even concentrate because their fucking holes keep spewing. GRRRRRRR

I used to sit near a bunch of chatterboxes. It was horrifically painful.

The worst one - the one who would stir it all up, often be the loudest, had a terrible laugh, and was generally just really stupid and annoying - wasn't a woman though. :/


Talk to whoever their boss is, tell them your work requires concentration and so on, and that you can't do it with all their chattering. Hopefully you'll be talking to someone that cares, and that can tell them to STFU and be listened to.

I was /supposed/ to be getting a private office, but that hasn't happened yet.

 

I'm not a social person, and before I get /coffee/ in me I'm a mean mother fucker.

 

I wish they would just shut the fuck up, they covered every news article so far this morning and whatever else.

 

I'm just going put on my headphones and try to drown them out.

...no, I live with them, which is why I come to work in the first place.

I do too, and it used to be work was a place to escape, but it's not anymore. I might as well just eat a gun barrel.

You could try repeatedly and eagerly interrupting their conversations with really dull comments, and see if they get so annoyed they start whispering so you don't get involved?

I'd rather just go home.

 

I'm about to reach the point of livid. I better take a walk.

In my office I'm often with a few people who speak Arabic to each other quite loudly. It can be annoying but I've realised that the fact that it's a different language is a good thing because I can't actually listen to the conversations being had.

I think most of it is my mood today. I stayed up too late killing zombies, and now I'm a zombie this morning.

 

But I just wish they'd shut the fuck up for 5 minutes.

Tell them to then.

I would but I'm out numbered. 4 women 1 guy (me).

 

Plus if I did that it would only get worse.

 

I think they are starting to actually do some work, so they should wind down soon. Gawd I hope so!

What Ant said - if you haven't at least asked them nicely to turn it down a bit, you're as much at fault as they are.

Doesn't even need to be verbally, if you don't feel like actually talking to them. Fire an email over saying you've got a headache, so could they be really quiet please?

I emailed one of them. And it is /finally/ calming down.

Most people are nice people when approached the right way.

No because venting here makes me feel better!

 

This is starting to become a daily thing. I might have to start coming to work drunk.

I used to, years ago. I just ignored it.

I can usually ignore them, but today my mood is just rotten and it's annoying me badly.

 

But on the bright side I'm leaving in an hour and a half for the day, so I can manage.

Wait a sec, you posted that at 13:30 BST, and you're leaving at 16:30 BST - that's 7/8am and 10:30/11:30am, isn't it? :?
