Ugggggggggh. I've not watched the last episode yet but season 2 so far has been wank.

Season 1 was great. We discovered and explored this weird situation through the characters eyes. As they learned stuff, we learned stuff.

During season 2 no one learns anything. We just keep seeing more of what we've seen. And the episodes are like 80% establishing shots and 20% vague mood pieces.

Season 1 was gripping. The weirdness served a purpose and we were learning stuff. Season 2 was mostly boring.

I was trying to cling on to some hope that the last episode would do something clever that gave meaning to the rest of the season but I'm guessing not.

On the other hand... Silo's fucking great and season 1 of Paradise was a ton of fun.

Yes to Silo. You can tell it's following a proper story with well-rounded people.

The end of Severance? I don't know. To be honest it's one of those where I should have gone back and binge-watched season 1, because when season 2 started I hadn't got a clue what was going on. Still don't.

Yeah it's definitely clear watching Silo that they know where they're going.

Similar for me with Severance. I thought about rewatching season 1 but I'd always been worried it might go full mystery box so I didn't want to invest too much in it despite enjoying that first season a lot.

It's not like I need everything resolved and neatly tied up. I'm fine with some things going unexplained. But this season gave us *nothing*. I want to feel some *progress*.
