iCloud encrypted backdoor demand

As a Windows user, one of the reasons I've always resisted One Drive is that I dislike the notion that my data, and often I lose track of exactly what data, is shipped across the network to anonymous servers with MS holding the encryption keys. I've become a bit lax about it lately because I wanted to take advantage of the online TB that 365 offers to back up my photos. But I think I'm going to do something about that and get as much as possible off MS and onto my own private storage.

I think we'll be seeing more of this sort of thing (corporate+gummint surveillance).

Especially as they care less about us seeing it.

When China does it, it's bad. When we do it, it's good.
